Radio Series Highlights Impact of Auto Industry Decline on Employment
Michigan's economy is changing and so is the job market. As the auto industry and related manufacturing downsizes, where will Michigan's citizens find jobs of the future?
Rick Pluta and Sarah Hulett will host a special presentation that studies the future of work in our state. Michigan’s Bottom Line: Careers After Cars airs Friday, May 30, at 8 a.m. on 90.5 WKAR. The show will be braodcast from the Detroit Regional Chamber’s Mackinac Policy Conference on Mackinac Island.
In addition, 90.5 will offer a selection of related stories during the week on Morning Edition and/or All Things Considered, including selections by WKAR’s Rob South and Michigan Public Radio Network's Rachel Lippman.
