Britcom Fans -- Pick Your Next New Series!
WKAR will offer its Britcom fans the opportunity to choose the program to replace Keeping Up Appearances when its broadcast rights expire later this season.
On Friday, June 13, WKAR will present a Britcom marathon, where those offering a pledge or vote of support to WKAR may choose from several comedy options to fill the Keeping Up Appearances space.
You may vote to purchase an additional year of the program, featuring Patricia Routledge as Hyacinth Bouquet or you may vote for one of the following:
To the Manor Born with Penelope Keith as an upper class woman forced to move out of her manor house, which is purchased by a nouveau riche grocer. Peter Bowles co-stars.
‘Allo, ‘Allo, a farcical comedy by the creators of Are You Being Served. Set during World War II in a German-occupied French village, the plot centers around the life of the characters in the town, particularly those from the village café.
The Vicar of Dilby is set in an English village. When the vicar passes away in the middle of the service, his replacement is a glamorous woman who enjoys good chocolate, pop music and chocolate. The cast includes Dawn French and Trevor Peackck (Are You Being Served).
My Hero, another wacky comedy about a misplaced superhero. Thermoman is an alien from the planet Ultron, who falls in love with a nurse after he saves her life.
