Thinking Ahead to Tax Time?
Year End Gifts Can be Made in Several Ways

December brings the opportunity to review our tax situation and consider making charitable gifts before year end. 

Gifts to WKAR are tax deductible, and because gifts to public broadcasting are eligible for a State of Michigan Tax Credit, you can receive even more at tax time.  The State of Michigan Tax Credit allows 50% of the net value of your gift (maximum amounts apply and vary according to your personal tax situation) to be returned to you.  Meanwhile, WKAR is able to use your entire donation for the acquisition and broadcast of the programming you have come to admire, respect and support.

Here's how to support WKAR with your year-end gift:

Gifts Online at WKAR.org
Credit card donations can be made here on-line.  Credit card donations must be charged in 2009 to qualify for a tax deduction in 2009. On-line contributions must be submitted no later than 11 p.m., December 31.

Gifts by Mail
Due to the holidays and IRS regulations, we suggest that mailed Credit Card donations be post-marked no later than December 27, 2008. Checks that are mailed must be postmarked by December 31, 2009 to qualify for a 2009 tax deduction.
